Jamie Lynn Corkish, born on May twenty-six, nineteen eighty-four, in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, is a distinguished American sport shooter. She first discovered her passion for shooting at the tender age of eight, starting with a BB gun program that would lay the foundation for her remarkable career.
Competing under the name Jamie Beyerle, she made her Olympic debut at the two thousand eight Summer Olympics, where she showcased her exceptional talent by finishing fourth in the Women's 10 metre air rifle and fifth in the Women's 50 metre rifle three positions. Her prowess was further highlighted when she secured a silver medal at the same year's ISSF World Cup in Milan.
However, it was at the two thousand twelve London Olympics, competing as Jamie Gray, that Corkish achieved her greatest triumph. She clinched the gold medal in the Women's 50 metre rifle three positions, setting Olympic records with a qualification score of five hundred ninety-two points and a total of six hundred ninety-one point nine, including the final.
