Jamil Jivani

Jamil Jivani, born on October twenty-fourth, nineteen eighty-seven, is a prominent Canadian politician and radio personality, currently serving as the Member of Parliament for Bowmanville—Oshawa North. A member of the Conservative Party, he was elected to represent Durham in a by-election held in twenty twenty-four, following the resignation of former Conservative leader Erin O'Toole.

Before embarking on his political career, Jivani pursued a law degree at Yale University, where he formed a notable connection with JD Vance, who would later become the Vice President of the United States. His professional journey began in corporate law at Torys LLP, where he honed his legal expertise before transitioning into community activism focused on police relations.

In addition to his legal and activist work, Jivani has made significant contributions as a political commentator, writing for Postmedia and hosting a radio show on CFRB Newstalk 1010.
