Jan Czochralski

Jan Czochralski, born on October 23, 1885, was a distinguished Polish chemist, inventor, and engineer renowned for his groundbreaking contributions to the field of materials science. He is best known for developing the Czochralski method, a revolutionary technique for growing single crystals that has become integral to the production of semiconductor wafers. This method is pivotal in the manufacturing of over ninety percent of all electronics worldwide that utilize semiconductors.
