Janja Garnbret, born on March twelfth, nineteen ninety-nine, is a Slovenian professional rock climber renowned for her exceptional skills in sport climbing and competition climbing. She has made history by winning multiple titles in lead climbing and bouldering competitions, including two Olympic gold medals, solidifying her status as one of the greatest competition climbers of all time.
In twenty twenty-one, Garnbret achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first-ever female Olympic gold medalist in climbing. She successfully defended her title in twenty twenty-four, making her the most successful Slovenian athlete in the history of the Summer Olympics. Additionally, she is celebrated as the first female climber to onsight an 8c (5.14b) graded sport climbing route, showcasing her extraordinary talent and determination.
