Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Jarosław Kaczyński

Jarosław Kaczyński, born on June eighteenth, nineteen forty-nine, is a prominent Polish politician known for his significant influence in the country's political landscape. He co-founded the Law and Justice (PiS) party in two thousand one alongside his twin brother, Lech Kaczyński, and has been its leader since two thousand three. Kaczyński served as Prime Minister of Poland from July two thousand six to November two thousand seven and has held the position of Deputy Prime Minister twice, first from two thousand twenty to two thousand twenty-two, and again from June to November two thousand twenty-three.

His political journey began during his student years when he participated in protests during the March nineteen sixty-eight political crisis. Kaczyński became an active member of the anti-communist opposition, collaborating with the Workers' Defense Committee (KOR) and the Independent Students' Union (KSS KOR). His involvement in the Solidarity movement during the August nineteen eighty protests led to his arrest, and he later joined the Polish Helsinki Committee in nineteen eighty-two, participating in the strikes of nineteen eighty-eight.

In nineteen eighty-nine, Kaczyński was a key participant in the Round Table talks, which paved the way for democratic changes in Poland. He served as a senator from nineteen eighty-nine to nineteen ninety-one and founded the Centre Agreement party in nineteen ninety, leading it until nineteen ninety-eight. His political career included a role as head of the chancellery for President Lech Wałęsa and a member of parliament from nineteen ninety-one to nineteen ninety-three and continuously since nineteen ninety-seven.

After co-founding PiS, Kaczyński became a leading figure in Polish politics, especially following the tragic death of his brother in a plane crash. He ran in the two thousand ten presidential election but lost to Bronisław Komorowski. Since the PiS victories in two thousand fifteen, Kaczyński has been regarded as one of the most powerful politicians in Poland and a significant figure in European politics. His tenure as Deputy Prime Minister included oversight of critical ministries, but he resigned in November two thousand twenty-three after the party's electoral defeat in the parliamentary elections.
