Jason Bajada

Jason Bajada, a talented Canadian singer-songwriter hailing from Montreal, Quebec, has made a significant mark in the music industry since his debut. He first captivated audiences with his albums, Puer Dolor in two thousand five and Up Go the Arms in two thousand six, before joining forces with Maple Music Recordings/Universal. His label debut, Loveshit, was released in two thousand nine, showcasing his unique sound and lyrical prowess.

In two thousand eleven, Bajada followed up with The Sound Your Life Makes, which impressively reached number fifty-seven on the Canadian Albums Chart. His artistic versatility is evident in his work, as he has also released two French albums. Le résultat de mes bêtises debuted in September two thousand thirteen during the Pop Montreal festival, and its successor, Volcano, came out in February two thousand sixteen, earning a Prix Félix nomination for Best Adult Contemporary Album at the thirty-eighth Felix Awards.

Continuing to evolve as an artist, Bajada released his double album Loveshit 2 (Blondie & the Backstabberz) in September two thousand seventeen under Audiogram. His latest project, Crushed Grapes, marks his eighth studio album and was produced by Connor Seidel. The title track draws inspiration from Ask The Dust, a novel by John Fante that Bajada fell in love with while residing in Los Angeles.

Throughout his career, Bajada has shared the stage with a diverse array of artists, including Martha Wainwright, The Lemonheads, Joseph Arthur, and Cœur de pirate, among others. His journey in music continues to inspire fans and fellow musicians alike.
