Jason Becker

Jason Becker, born on July 22, 1969, is an acclaimed American composer and former guitarist whose musical journey began at the tender age of sixteen. He formed the influential duo Cacophony with his friend Marty Friedman, releasing two groundbreaking albums, 'Speed Metal Symphony' in nineteen eighty-seven and 'Go Off!' in nineteen eighty-eight. This collaboration marked the beginning of Becker's illustrious career in the world of music.

After Cacophony disbanded in nineteen eighty-nine, Becker embarked on a solo career that showcased his exceptional talent. His debut album, 'Perpetual Burn,' released in nineteen eighty-eight, was followed by six more albums, each reflecting his evolving artistry. In addition to his solo work, he joined David Lee Roth's solo band, contributing to the album 'A Little Ain't Enough,' further solidifying his reputation as a skilled musician.

Tragically, Becker's performing career was abruptly halted when he was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) in nineteen ninety. By nineteen ninety-six, he had lost the ability to speak, but his indomitable spirit remained intact. With the help of a communication system developed by his father, Becker continues to compose music, demonstrating his resilience and passion for his craft.

Despite the challenges he faces, Becker has released notable works such as 'Collection' in two thousand eight and 'Triumphant Hearts' in two thousand eighteen, along with various compilations. His journey is a testament to the power of creativity and determination in the face of adversity.
