Jason Herter

Jason Herter, born on October second, nineteen seventy, is a distinguished Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. Currently, he serves as the associate head coach at Western Michigan, where he imparts his extensive knowledge and experience to the next generation of players.

Herter's journey in professional hockey began when he was drafted in the first round, eighth overall, by the Vancouver Canucks during the nineteen eighty-nine NHL Entry Draft. Although his NHL career was brief, he made a notable appearance in one game with the New York Islanders in the nineteen ninety-five to ninety-six season, where he contributed an assist.

On the international stage, Herter proudly represented Canada at the 1990 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships held in Helsinki, Finland, where he and his teammates secured a gold medal. Additionally, he participated in the 1990 Goodwill Games, where Canada finished in fourth place, further showcasing his talent and dedication to the sport.
