Jason Anthoney Richardson Sr., born on January 20, 1981, is a distinguished American former professional basketball player who left an indelible mark on the NBA over his fourteen-season career. He was selected as the fifth overall pick in the 2001 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors after showcasing his talents at Michigan State University, where he played college basketball for the Spartans.

Throughout his career, Richardson played for several teams, including the Charlotte Bobcats, Phoenix Suns, Orlando Magic, and Philadelphia 76ers.
