Javier Urruticoechea

Francisco Javier González Urruticoechea, affectionately known as Urruti, was born on February 17, 1952. He carved out a remarkable career as a professional footballer, primarily recognized for his role as a goalkeeper. Urruti's journey in football saw him don the colors of prestigious clubs, most notably FC Barcelona, where he became a key figure in the team's history.

During his illustrious tenure at FC Barcelona, Urruti played an impressive three hundred and seven La Liga matches over sixteen seasons. His skills between the posts were instrumental in solidifying the club's reputation, following in the footsteps of legendary goalkeepers such as Ferenc Plattkó and Ricardo Zamora.
