Jack Leonard "Jay" Barrs, Jr., born on July 17, 1962, in Jacksonville, Florida, is a distinguished American archer renowned for his exceptional achievements in the sport. He made history by winning a gold medal at the 1988 Summer Olympics, a pinnacle moment that solidified his status in the archery community.

Beyond his Olympic success, Barrs has an impressive list of accolades, including being an NAA National Outdoor Champion and a FITA World Field Champion.
