Jay McKee

Jay McKee, born on September eighth, nineteen seventy-seven, is a distinguished Canadian ice hockey coach and former professional defenceman. Hailing from Kingston, Ontario, and raised in Loyalist, Ontario, McKee is best known for his significant contributions to the Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League (NHL), where he spent the majority of his playing career. He also had stints with the St. Louis Blues and the Pittsburgh Penguins, earning a reputation as one of the league's premier shot-blockers.

After hanging up his skates, McKee transitioned into coaching, bringing his extensive knowledge of the game to various teams. He began as an assistant coach for the NCAA's Niagara Purple Eagles and later took on roles with the American Hockey League's Rochester Americans, the Ontario Hockey League's Erie Otters, and the Kitchener Rangers. His coaching journey reflects his dedication to developing young talent and fostering a competitive spirit.

In Kitchener, McKee's leadership skills were recognized when he was promoted to head coach, a position he held for three-and-a-half seasons.
