Jay Rodriguez

Jay Rodriguez, born on July 29, 1989, is an accomplished English professional footballer who currently plays as a forward for EFL Championship club Wrexham. His journey in football began with his hometown club Burnley, where he made a significant impact by scoring forty-one goals in one hundred twenty-eight appearances across all competitions since his debut in 2007.

In 2012, Rodriguez made a pivotal move to Southampton for a transfer fee of approximately seven million pounds. His impressive performances during this period earned him his only cap for the England national team. However, his career faced a setback when he suffered a serious injury that sidelined him for over a year.

After recovering, Rodriguez joined West Bromwich Albion in 2017 for a fee of twelve million pounds. His time at West Brom was followed by a return to Burnley, where he enjoyed four more seasons in the Premier League.
