Jayna Hefford, born on May 14, 1977, in Trenton, Ontario, is a distinguished Canadian retired ice hockey player and current Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations for the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). Hefford's journey in sports began with ringette, but her passion quickly shifted to ice hockey, where she would leave an indelible mark.
Throughout her illustrious career, Hefford achieved remarkable success, winning multiple medals at the Winter Olympics and IIHF World Women's Championships. She played a pivotal role in helping Canada secure four consecutive Olympic gold medals from 2002 to 2014, famously scoring the gold medal-winning goal at the 2002 Winter Olympics.
