Jayne Mansfield, born on April 19, 1933, was an iconic American actress, singer, and Playboy Playmate, celebrated as a sex symbol during the 1950s and early 1960s. Known for her striking buxom figure and vibrant personality, she became a fixture in Hollywood, often referred to as the 'smartest dumb blonde' due to her blend of charm and intelligence.

Mansfield's career took off on Broadway, where she portrayed the fictional actress Rita Marlowe in the hit play 'Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?' from 1955 to 1956, earning a Theatre World Award for her performance. She reprised this role in the film adaptation released in 1957, further solidifying her status in the entertainment industry.

Her filmography includes notable works such as the musical comedy 'The Girl Can't Help It' in 1956, which earned her a Golden Globe Award for New Star, and the drama 'The Wayward Bus' in 1957.
