Jeffrey Hoogland, born on March 16, 1993, is a distinguished Dutch track cyclist who has made significant contributions to the sport. Since 2013, he has represented the Netherlands in eleven editions of the UCI Track Cycling World Championships, showcasing his exceptional talent and dedication.
His remarkable achievements include a standout performance at the 2015 UEC European Track Championships, where he secured three gold medals: two individual titles in the sprint and the 1 km time trial, and a team victory in the team sprint alongside Nils van 't Hoenderdaal and Hugo Haak.
On October 31, 2023, Hoogland etched his name in history by breaking the decade-old world record for the 1 km time trial with an impressive time of fifty-five point four hundred thirty-three seconds. He is a seven-time World Champion in the team sprint, having claimed titles from 2018 to 2021 and again in 2023 to 2025, as well as a four-time World Champion in the 1 km time trial.
Hoogland's Olympic journey has been equally remarkable, winning a silver medal in the sprint event at the 2020 Summer Olympics and contributing to the team that clinched gold in the team sprint, setting a new Olympic record in the process. He continued his success by helping his team retain the team sprint title at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
