Ennik Somi Douma, known professionally as Jeon Somi, was born on March 9, 2001, in Canada. With a South Korean mother and a Dutch-Canadian father, she moved to South Korea as an infant, where her journey in the entertainment industry began.
Jeon Somi rose to prominence as the first-place winner of the survival reality show Produce 101, which led to her becoming a member of the eleven-piece project girl group I.O.I. This experience catapulted her into the spotlight, showcasing her talents as a singer, dancer, and performer.
After I.O.I's activities concluded, Jeon signed with The Black Label, a subsidiary of YG Entertainment. She made her solo debut on June 13, 2019, with the single 'Birthday', marking a significant milestone in her career.
In 2021, she released her first studio album, XOXO, which featured the hit single 'Dumb Dumb'. Her continued success was highlighted in 2023 when she achieved her first top-five single in South Korea with 'Fast Forward', solidifying her status as a prominent figure in the music industry.
