Jeremiah S. Chechik, born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, is a distinguished Canadian film and television director as well as a talented photographer. With a career spanning several decades, he has made significant contributions to both the film and television industries.

Chechik is perhaps best known for his work on iconic feature films such as National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, released in nineteen eighty-nine, and the beloved romantic comedy Benny & Joon from nineteen ninety-three. His directorial prowess is also evident in the suspenseful thriller Diabolique, which premiered in nineteen ninety-six, and the action-packed adaptation of The Avengers in nineteen ninety-eight.

In addition to his film work, Chechik has directed numerous episodes for popular television series. His impressive television credits include The Bronx Is Burning in two thousand seven, Burn Notice from two thousand seven to two thousand thirteen, and Chuck, which aired from two thousand seven to two thousand twelve.
