Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Jermaine Pennant

Jermaine Pennant, born on January 15, 1983, in Nottingham, is a retired English professional footballer renowned for his role as a winger. Over the course of his career, he made more than 350 league appearances across 15 clubs, netting 25 league goals. His journey began at Notts County, where he showcased his talent in the youth team before catching the eye of Arsenal, who signed him in 1999.

Despite the promising start at Arsenal, Pennant struggled to secure a regular spot in the first team. His career saw him loaned to clubs such as Watford, Leeds United, and Birmingham City, where he eventually made a permanent move. During his time with Arsenal, he also represented the England under-21 team, earning 24 caps. His career took a dramatic turn in 2005 when he played a match while on probation, wearing an electronic tag due to a drink-driving conviction.

In 2006, following Birmingham's relegation, Pennant transferred to Liverpool for a fee of six point seven million pounds. He contributed significantly to the team's success, winning the 2006 FA Community Shield and playing a crucial role in their journey to the 2007 UEFA Champions League Final, despite the team ultimately losing to AC Milan. However, off-field issues continued to plague him, leading to a series of loan spells, including a stint at Portsmouth and a move to Real Zaragoza in Spain.

After returning to the Premier League for the 2010-11 season with Stoke City, Pennant enjoyed a successful loan period that culminated in a permanent contract. He played in the 2011 FA Cup Final, where Stoke was narrowly defeated by Manchester City. His time at Stoke was marked by ups and downs, including a loan to Wolverhampton Wanderers and a brief return to form under new management. However, by January 2014, he departed Stoke and ventured to India with Pune City before returning to England to play for Wigan Athletic.

In January 2016, Pennant signed a one-year deal with Tampines Rovers in Singapore's S.League. He later returned to England, joining EFL League Two side Bury, before concluding his career in non-league football with Billericay Town in 2017.
