Jerzy Gorgoń

Jerzy Gorgoń, born on July eighteenth, nineteen forty-nine, is a distinguished Polish former professional footballer, celebrated for his remarkable contributions to the sport. Standing at six feet four inches tall, he made a significant impact as a central defender, particularly during his time with Górnik Zabrze, where he gained prominence in nineteen sixty-seven.

During his tenure with Górnik Zabrze, Gorgoń played a pivotal role in securing five consecutive Polish Cups from nineteen sixty-eight to nineteen seventy-two. His defensive prowess was further showcased on the international stage, where he represented Poland in the nineteen seventy-two Summer Olympics and the nineteen seventy-four World Cup held in West Germany, helping his team clinch third place.
