Jessica Walter, born on January 31, 1941, was a versatile American actress whose career spanned over five decades, encompassing more than 170 film, stage, and television productions. She first gained significant recognition for her chilling portrayal of a psychotic fan in Clint Eastwood's 1971 thriller, Play Misty for Me, a role that earned her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama.

Walter's television career was marked by her iconic role as Lucille Bluth in the critically acclaimed sitcom Arrested Development, which aired from 2003 to 2006 and was revived from 2013 to 2019. Additionally, she lent her voice to the character Malory Archer in the animated series Archer from 2009 to 2021, showcasing her talent in both live-action and voice acting.
