Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Jhené Aiko

Jhené Aiko, born on March 16, 1988, is an American R&B singer-songwriter and musician who has captivated audiences with her soulful sound and poignant lyrics. Aiko began her musical journey in 2002, initially as a backing vocalist and music video performer for the R&B group B2K. During this time, she was signed to The Ultimate Group, where she was marketed as the 'cousin' of B2K member Lil' Fizz, despite not being related. Her debut album was set for release in 2003, but Aiko chose to prioritize her education, leading to the album being shelved.

After a hiatus, Aiko made a significant return to the music scene in March 2011 with her mixtape, Sailing Soul(s). This project marked a new chapter in her career, and later that year, she signed with producer No I.D.'s ARTium Recordings, a label under Def Jam Recordings. Aiko gained widespread recognition in 2013 when she featured alongside Lil Wayne on Big Sean's single 'Beware,' which became her first entry on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking within the top 40.

In November 2013, Aiko released her debut extended play, Sail Out, which included hit singles such as '3:16AM,' 'Bed Peace' featuring Childish Gambino, and 'The Worst.' The latter achieved quintuple platinum certification from the RIAA, solidifying her status in the industry. Aiko's subsequent studio albums, Souled Out (2014), Trip (2017), and Chilombo (2020), received both critical acclaim and commercial success, with Chilombo peaking at number two on the Billboard 200 and earning her three Grammy Award nominations, including Album of the Year.
