Jill Biden

Jill Biden, born on June third, nineteen fifty-one, is an accomplished American educator and author who made history as the First Lady of the United States from twenty twenty-one to twenty twenty-five. As the second wife of Joe Biden, the forty-sixth president, she also served as the Second Lady from two thousand nine to two thousand seventeen during his vice presidency. Notably, she was the first First Lady to maintain a salaried job throughout the majority of her husband's tenure, balancing her professional career with her role in the White House.

Raised in Hammonton, New Jersey, and Willow Grove, Pennsylvania, Jill's educational journey began with a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Delaware. She furthered her studies with master's degrees in education and English from West Chester University and Villanova University, respectively, and later earned a doctoral degree in education from the University of Delaware. Her teaching career spans over two decades, during which she taught English and reading in high schools and worked with adolescents with emotional disabilities at a psychiatric hospital.

In addition to her teaching, Jill Biden has been a passionate advocate for various causes. She founded the Biden Breast Health Initiative and co-founded the Book Buddies program and the Biden Foundation.
