Jimin

Park Ji-min, known mononymously as Jimin, was born on October 13, 1995, in South Korea. He is a multifaceted artist, recognized for his talents as a singer, songwriter, and dancer. Jimin rose to prominence in 2013 when he debuted as a member of the globally acclaimed boy band BTS, under Big Hit Entertainment. His contributions to the group have solidified his status in the music industry.

Throughout his career with BTS, Jimin has showcased his artistry through several solo tracks, including 'Lie' in 2016, 'Serendipity' in 2017, and 'Filter' in 2020. Each of these songs has made a significant impact, charting on South Korea's Gaon Digital Chart. In 2018, he took a step further by releasing his first credited solo song, 'Promise', which he co-wrote, followed by the duet 'With You' in 2022 for the soundtrack of the drama Our Blues.

Jimin's solo career reached new heights with the release of his debut album, Face, in 2023. The album not only debuted at number one in South Korea and Japan but also secured the number two spot on the US Billboard 200, marking him as the highest-charting Korean solo artist on this prestigious chart. The lead single, 'Like Crazy', made history as the first song by a Korean solo artist to debut at number one on the US Billboard Hot 100.

In addition to these achievements, Jimin became the first Korean solo artist to top the Billboard Artist 100 chart. Continuing his successful trajectory, he released his second album, Muse, in 2024, featuring the lead single 'Who', which also debuted at number one on the Billboard Global 200, further establishing his influence in the global music scene.
