Jing of Zhou

Jing of Zhou, known as 周景王, was a significant figure in the history of the Zhou Dynasty, reigning as the 24th king from five hundred forty-four to five hundred twenty BC. His rule marked a pivotal period in the Eastern Zhou era, characterized by political fragmentation and the rise of powerful feudal states.

Following him, King Jing of Zhou, or 周敬王, ascended the throne as the 26th king and the 12th of the Eastern Zhou, ruling from five hundred nineteen to four hundred seventy-seven BC. In a different context, Emperor Jing of Zhou, who lived from five hundred seventy-three to five hundred eighty-one, served as the emperor of the Northern Zhou dynasty.
