Joanna Newsom

Joanna Newsom, born on January eighteenth, nineteen eighty-two, is a multifaceted American artist known for her enchanting blend of singing, songwriting, and acting. She first captured the attention of music enthusiasts with her self-released EPs in two thousand two, which paved the way for her signing with the independent label Drag City.

Her debut album, The Milk-Eyed Mender, released in two thousand four, received critical acclaim and helped her cultivate a dedicated underground following. Newsom's unique sound, often described as progressive folk, was further showcased in her subsequent album, Ys, released in two thousand six.
