João Palhinha, born on July 9, 1995, is a distinguished Portuguese professional footballer renowned for his role as a defensive midfielder. Currently, he plays for Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, on loan from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, while also representing the Portugal national team.
Palhinha's football journey began at Sporting CP, where he made his first-team debut in 2017. His early career included loan spells at Moreirense, Belenenses, and Braga, which helped him gain valuable experience. Upon returning to Sporting in 2020, he quickly established himself as a key player, contributing to the club's triumph in the 2020–21 Primeira Liga and securing back-to-back Taças da Liga in 2021 and 2022.
