João Vaz Corte-Real

João Vaz Corte-Real, born in the year fourteen hundred and twenty, was a notable Portuguese sailor whose legacy is intertwined with the age of exploration. His ventures are often linked to the mysterious land known as Terra Nova do Bacalhau, or the New Land of the Codfish, which some speculate may have been part of North America.
