Jocelyn Thibault

Jocelyn Thibault, born on January twelfth, nineteen seventy-five, is a distinguished Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. Over the course of his impressive career, he dedicated fourteen seasons to the National Hockey League (NHL), showcasing his skills with teams such as the Quebec Nordiques, Colorado Avalanche, Montreal Canadiens, Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Buffalo Sabres.

Hailing from Montreal, Quebec, Thibault spent his formative years in the nearby city of Laval. His passion for the sport was evident from a young age, and he made significant contributions to the hockey community throughout his career.

In addition to his playing career, Thibault played a pivotal role in the establishment of an expansion team in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). This initiative led to the creation of the Sherbrooke Phoenix, which began its inaugural season in the two thousand twelve to two thousand thirteen timeframe.

In two thousand twenty-one, Thibault transitioned from his role with the Phoenix to take on the position of executive director of Hockey Quebec, further solidifying his commitment to the development of hockey in the region.
