Jody Lukoki

Jody Lukoki was a talented Congolese-Dutch professional footballer, born on November fifteenth, nineteen ninety-two. He made his mark as a winger, showcasing his skills with various clubs and representing the DR Congo national team.

His football journey began at the prestigious Ajax youth academy, where he honed his talents before making his professional debut in two thousand eleven against fierce rivals Feyenoord. Despite his promising start, Lukoki struggled to secure a permanent position at Ajax, leading to a loan spell at Cambuur. In two thousand fourteen, he joined PEC Zwolle on a permanent basis, marking a significant step in his career.

After a successful season in the Netherlands, Lukoki took his talents abroad, signing with Bulgarian club Ludogorets Razgrad. His time there was marked by considerable success, further establishing his reputation in European football. He later had brief stints with Yeni Malatyaspor and Twente, continuing to showcase his abilities on the pitch.

Internationally, Lukoki represented the Netherlands at various youth levels, including U19, U20, and U21. In two thousand fifteen, he received his first call-up to the DR Congo national team, where he proudly represented his country on three occasions.

Tragically, Jody Lukoki's life was cut short on May ninth, two thousand twenty-two, when he passed away at the age of twenty-nine due to cardiac arrest following a violent family dispute. His untimely death came months after he faced legal issues related to domestic violence, which led to the termination of his contract with Twente.
