Joe Slovo, born on May twenty-third, nineteen twenty-six, was a prominent South African politician and anti-apartheid activist. As a dedicated Marxist-Leninist, he played a crucial role in the South African Communist Party (SACP) and was a leading figure in the African National Congress (ANC).
