Johan Mojica

Johan Mojica, born on August 21, 1992, is a talented Colombian professional footballer who currently plays as a left-back for La Liga club Mallorca and the Colombia national team. His journey in football began in Colombia, where he started with second-division side Academia before moving to Llaneros in 2012.

In 2014, Mojica made a significant move to Rayo Vallecano, initially on loan, and later secured a permanent deal. His time at Rayo was marked by a loan to Valladolid, where he earned recognition by being included in the 2014–15 Segunda División Team of the Year. His career continued to flourish as he joined Girona, helping the club achieve promotion to La Liga.

After a brief loan spell at Atalanta in Serie A, Mojica signed with Elche, first on loan and then on a three-year contract. In 2022, he took another step in his career by signing with Villarreal, and in July 2024, he made a move to Mallorca, further establishing his presence in Spanish football.

On the international stage, Mojica made his senior debut for Colombia in March 2015. He showcased his skills at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia and played a crucial role in the squad that reached the final of the 2024 Copa América, where Colombia finished as runners-up to Argentina.
