John Amos

John Allen Amos Jr., born on December 27, 1939, was a prominent American actor celebrated for his dynamic performances across television, film, and stage. He gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of James Evans Sr. on the iconic CBS series Good Times, a role that left an indelible mark on American television.

In addition to his work on Good Times, Amos showcased his remarkable talent as the adult Kunta Kinte in the groundbreaking miniseries Roots.
