Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of John Atta Mills

John Atta Mills was a distinguished Ghanaian politician and legal scholar, who made significant contributions to the nation's political landscape. Born on July twenty-first, nineteen forty-four, he rose to prominence as the eleventh president of Ghana, serving from January seventh, two thousand nine until his untimely death in two thousand twelve.

Before his presidency, Mills held the position of third vice president from nineteen ninety-seven to two thousand one under President Jerry Rawlings. His political journey included two unsuccessful bids for the presidency in the years two thousand and two thousand four, representing the National Democratic Congress (NDC). Despite these setbacks, he remained a pivotal figure in Ghanaian politics.

In the two thousand eight presidential election, Mills triumphed over the incumbent party candidate, Nana Akufo-Addo, marking a significant shift in the political arena. His presidency was notable for its focus on economic development and social justice, although it was tragically cut short when he became the first Ghanaian head of state to die in office.
