John Dehner

John Dehner, born on November twenty-third, nineteen fifteen, was a versatile American actor and pianist whose career spanned from the late 1930s to the late 1980s. Renowned for his portrayals of sophisticated con men and smooth-talking villains, Dehner's extensive body of work includes nearly three hundred feature films, television series, and made-for-TV movies.

During the golden age of radio, Dehner made a significant mark as a radio actor, accumulating hundreds of credits on nationally broadcast series. His most notable role was as Paladin in the radio adaptation of the popular Western series Have Gun – Will Travel, which captivated audiences for one hundred six episodes on CBS from nineteen fifty-eight to nineteen sixty.

In addition to his radio success, Dehner lent his voice to various film projects, including narrating the film The Hallelujah Trail. His early career saw him briefly working for Walt Disney Studios as an assistant animator from nineteen forty to March nineteen forty-one in Burbank, California.

Dehner's television appearances included memorable roles in Columbo episodes such as "Swan Song" in nineteen seventy-four, alongside Johnny Cash, and as Commodore Otis Swanson in the episode "Last Salute to the Commodore" in nineteen seventy-six.
