John Elkann

John Elkann, born on April first, nineteen seventy-six, is an influential American-born Italian industrialist and entrepreneur. He rose to prominence in nineteen ninety-seven when he was named the heir to his maternal grandfather, Gianni Agnelli, following the passing of Gianni's nephew, Giovanni Alberto Agnelli. Since two thousand four, Elkann has been at the helm of the Agnelli family, a renowned multi-industry business dynasty in Italy, often likened to the Kennedy family in terms of its significance in national affairs.

As the chairman of Stellantis, Elkann plays a pivotal role in the automotive industry. He also serves as the chief executive officer of Exor, the holding company controlled by the Agnelli family, which boasts a controlling stake in prestigious brands such as Ferrari, CNH Industrial, Iveco Group, Juventus FC, and The Economist Group. His leadership extends to overseeing a vast network of fourteen brands, with production facilities in twenty-nine countries and a workforce of four hundred thousand employees, reaching over one hundred thirty markets worldwide.

In July two thousand eighteen, Elkann was appointed chairman of Ferrari, a position that underscores his influence in the automotive sector. He briefly held the role of CEO from two thousand twenty to two thousand twenty-one, during which he facilitated the significant merger between Fiat Chrysler and the PSA Group in two thousand twenty-one.
