John Green

John Green, born on August 24, 1977, in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a multifaceted American author and YouTuber whose literary contributions have sold over fifty million copies worldwide. His most notable work, The Fault in Our Stars, published in 2012, has become one of the best-selling books of all time, marking a significant shift in the young adult fiction landscape. Green's unique voice and rapid ascent to fame have made him a prominent figure in both literature and online media.

Raised in Orlando, Florida, Green attended a boarding school near Birmingham, Alabama, before pursuing higher education at Kenyon College, where he graduated in 2000 with a double major in English and religious studies. After a brief stint as a student chaplain at a children's hospital, he redirected his career towards writing, eventually landing a position at Booklist in Chicago. His debut novel, Looking for Alaska, released in 2005, earned him the prestigious Michael L. Printz Award in 2006.
