John Higgins

John Higgins, born on May 18, 1975, is a distinguished Scottish professional snooker player hailing from Wishaw in North Lanarkshire. Since turning professional in 1992, Higgins has established himself as one of the sport's all-time greats, amassing an impressive thirty-three ranking titles, which places him third on the all-time list of ranking event winners, trailing only Ronnie O'Sullivan and Stephen Hendry.

Throughout his illustrious career, Higgins has secured four World Championships, three UK Championships, and two Masters titles, totaling nine Triple Crown titles. This remarkable achievement ranks him behind only O'Sullivan, Hendry, Steve Davis, and Mark Selby. His journey in the sport saw him first enter the top sixteen in the world rankings during the 1995–96 season, where he maintained his position for over twenty-nine years, setting a record for the longest uninterrupted tenure as a top-16 player.

Higgins' career highlights include winning his first ranking event at the 1994 Grand Prix and becoming the first teenager to win three ranking events in a single season.
