John of Nepomuk

John of Nepomuk, also known as Jan Nepomucký in Czech and Johannes Nepomuk in German, was a revered Catholic priest born around the year 1340. His life was marked by a profound commitment to his faith and a steadfast dedication to the principles of the Church.

Tragically, John met his end at the hands of King Wenceslaus IV of Bohemia, who executed him for his refusal to betray the sanctity of the confessional.
