Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of John Part

John Part, born on June twenty-ninth, nineteen sixty-six, is a distinguished Canadian former professional darts player and current commentator. Known by his nickname 'Darth Maple', Part has made a significant mark in the world of darts, competing in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events.

Part's illustrious career is highlighted by his remarkable achievement as a three-time World Champion. He first captured the BDO World Darts Championship in nineteen ninety-four on his debut, followed by victories in the PDC World Championship in two thousand three and two thousand eight. His prowess on the oche has earned him a reputation as one of the greatest players in the sport's history.

Notably, Part was the first non-British player to win the World Championship and remains the only non-European to have claimed the PDC World Darts Championship. His first title was particularly historic, marking only the second time a non-seeded player triumphed in the BDO World Darts Championship, with Part losing just one set throughout the tournament.

His nine-year gap between his first and second World Championships is tied for the longest in history, alongside Ted Hankey. In two thousand eight, he made history again by becoming the first player to win a world title in three different venues and the first to win at the Alexandra Palace. This victory placed him among legends like Phil Taylor and Eric Bristow, as one of the few players with three or more World Championships. Furthermore, he became only the second player, after Taylor, to secure multiple PDC titles.

In recognition of his contributions to the sport, John Part was inducted into the PDC Hall of Fame in two thousand seventeen, solidifying his legacy as North America's greatest darts player to date.
