John Ribat

John Ribat, born on February ninth, nineteen fifty-seven, is a distinguished Papua New Guinean prelate of the Catholic Church. He has dedicated his life to serving the spiritual needs of his community and has risen through the ranks to become a prominent figure in the Church.

Since two thousand eight, Ribat has held the esteemed position of Archbishop of Port Moresby, where he has been instrumental in guiding the faithful and fostering a sense of unity among the diverse populations of Papua New Guinea.

In recognition of his significant contributions to the Church and society, he was elevated to the rank of cardinal in two thousand sixteen. This honor reflects his commitment to his vocation and his leadership within the Catholic community.
