Johnny Reid

Johnny Reid, born on August twenty-first, nineteen seventy-four, is a celebrated Scottish-Canadian country music artist. At the age of sixteen, he emigrated from Scotland to Canada in July nineteen eighty-nine, driven by his father's desire to provide better opportunities for him and his brother. Reid's formative years were spent in Brampton, Ontario, where he graduated from Turner Fenton Secondary School in nineteen ninety-two.

His journey into music took him to Bishop's University in Lennoxville, Quebec, where he not only pursued his studies but also played as a kicker on the varsity football team. It was during this time that he met his future wife, marking the beginning of a personal and professional partnership that would support his musical aspirations.

Reid's passion for country music led him to Nashville, Tennessee, where he established his career. He has received significant recognition in the industry, including a nomination for the Juno Award for Country Recording of the Year in two thousand eight for his album 'Kicking Stones.' His talent was further acknowledged when he was named Male Artist of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Association Awards in both two thousand eight and two thousand nine.

In addition to his musical achievements, Reid had the honor of performing at the Canada Day celebrations on Parliament Hill on July first, two thousand ten, an event attended by the Queen and Prince Philip. Today, he resides in Nashville with his family, continuing to make a significant impact in the world of country music.
