Jolan Chang

Jolan Chang, born on December ninth, nineteen seventeen, was a prominent Canadian sexologist and Taoist philosopher. He is best known for his influential works, including the seminal texts 'The Tao of Love and Sex' and 'The Tao of the Loving Couple,' which explore the intersection of ancient Taoist teachings and modern sexuality.

Chang's journey began in Hangzhou, where he was born to an army general. Following the revolution, he relocated to Canada, where he spent several years before eventually moving to Sweden, where he spent the remainder of his life until his passing in Stockholm.

His book 'The Tao of Love and Sex,' featuring a foreword and postscript by Joseph Needham, reinterprets ancient Taoist sexual principles for contemporary audiences. It covers a wide range of topics, including the role of women in sexuality, the significance of sexual health, and various techniques aimed at enhancing intimacy and satisfaction.

In addition to his literary contributions, Chang's work has been recognized by notable figures, including British author Lawrence Durrell, who referenced him in his 1980 book 'A Smile in the Mind's Eye.' Through his writings, Chang has left a lasting impact on the understanding of sexuality and health, demonstrating the relevance of ancient wisdom in today's world.
