Joleon Lescott

Joleon Lescott, born on August 16, 1982, is an English former professional footballer who has transitioned into coaching and sports punditry. Currently, he serves as an interim coach for the England senior team while also showcasing his skills in the Baller League for Deportrio.

A product of the Wolverhampton Wanderers youth academy, Lescott made his first-team debut in 2000. His early career was marked by accolades, including being named the supporters' Young Player of the Year for two consecutive years. He played a pivotal role in Wolves' promotion to the Premier League in 2003, although an injury sidelined him during the subsequent relegation season.

In the 2005–06 season, Lescott's performances earned him a spot in the Championship team of the year, leading to his transfer to Premier League club Everton in August 2006 for a fee of five million pounds. His contributions were recognized by his teammates, who voted him Player's Player of the Season in both of the following seasons.

In August 2009, Lescott made a significant move to Manchester City for a reported fee of twenty-two million pounds, where he enjoyed a successful five-year stint, securing two league titles, an FA Cup, and a League Cup. After leaving City in 2014, he joined West Bromwich Albion on a free transfer, followed by a move to Aston Villa a year later.

On the international stage, Lescott represented England at various youth levels before making his senior debut in 2007 against Estonia during the UEFA Euro 2008 qualifiers. He was part of the squad for UEFA Euro 2012, where he scored England's first goal of the tournament in their opening match, a 1–1 draw against France.
