Jon Dahl Tomasson

Jon Dahl Tomasson, born on August twenty-ninth, nineteen seventy-six, is a distinguished Danish football manager and former player. He is renowned for his remarkable career as a forward, particularly during his time at Feyenoord, where he celebrated victory in the 2002 UEFA Cup, and at AC Milan, where he triumphed in the UEFA Champions League in 2003 and reached the final in 2005. His impressive playing career also spanned top-flight football in England, Germany, and Spain.

As a key player for the Denmark national team, Tomasson holds the joint record as the all-time top goalscorer, netting fifty-two goals in one hundred twelve appearances. His contributions to Danish football earned him the prestigious Danish Player of the Year award in both 2002 and 2004. He represented Denmark in the UEFA European Championship in 2000 and 2004, as well as the FIFA World Cup in 2002 and 2010.

Transitioning from player to coach, Tomasson began his managerial journey in the Netherlands, serving as both an assistant and a manager. He later joined the Denmark national team as an assistant under Åge Hareide. In 2020, he took the helm at Malmö, leading the team to consecutive Swedish championships before departing in 2022. That same year, he was appointed head coach of Blackburn Rovers, a role he held until February 2024 when he left by mutual consent.

In March 2024, Tomasson was named the new head coach of the Sweden national team. However, his tenure was cut short in October 2025 following disappointing results in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
