Jon Stewart

Jon Stewart, born on November 28, 1962, is a multifaceted American comedian, writer, producer, director, and political commentator. He is best known for his role as the host of the satirical news program The Daily Show on Comedy Central, where he served from 1999 to 2015 and returned part-time in 2024. Stewart also hosted The Problem with Jon Stewart on Apple TV+ from 2021 to 2023, showcasing his enduring influence in the realm of political satire.

Stewart's career began in stand-up comedy, leading him to television with his first major role as the host of Short Attention Span Theater for Comedy Central. He later hosted You Wrote It, You Watch It and The Jon Stewart Show on MTV, which transitioned to syndication after its retooling. His tenure on The Daily Show marked a significant turning point, as the program gained immense popularity and critical acclaim, earning numerous Emmy Awards during his time as host, writer, and co-executive producer.
