Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Jonjo Shelvey

Jonjo Shelvey, born on February 27, 1992, is a distinguished English football coach and former professional player, renowned for his role as a central midfielder. Currently, he serves as the head coach of the UAE Second Division League side Arabian Falcons, marking a new chapter in his football journey.

Beginning his career at Charlton Athletic, Shelvey made history by becoming the club's youngest-ever player at the tender age of sixteen years and fifty-nine days. His talent quickly caught the attention of Liverpool, where he transferred in 2010 for an initial fee of one million seven hundred thousand pounds. During his tenure at Anfield, he was part of a squad that celebrated victory in the League Cup and reached the FA Cup final in 2012.

In 2013, Shelvey made a move to Swansea City for five million pounds, followed by a transfer to Newcastle United two and a half years later for twelve million pounds. Shortly after joining Newcastle, he was appointed as the team's stand-in captain, stepping up in the absence of Fabricio Coloccini. Despite the team's relegation that season, Shelvey played a pivotal role in helping the club regain its Premier League status and established himself as the vice-captain.

After his time in Tyneside concluded in 2023, Shelvey continued his career with stints at Nottingham Forest, Çaykur Rizespor, Eyüpspor, and Burnley. His international career is equally impressive, having represented England at various youth levels, including under-16, under-17, under-19, and under-21, where he even captained the under-19 team. He earned his first senior cap in 2012, further solidifying his status as a prominent figure in English football.
