Jordan Peele

Jordan Peele, born on February 21, 1979, is a multifaceted American actor, comedian, and filmmaker celebrated for his innovative contributions to both comedy and horror. He began his career in the early 2000s, honing his craft in improv comedy with renowned groups such as Boom Chicago and The Second City. His breakout moment arrived in 2003 when he joined the cast of the Fox sketch comedy series Mad TV, where he showcased his comedic talents for five seasons until 2008.

Following his success on Mad TV, Peele teamed up with his frequent collaborator Keegan-Michael Key to create the critically acclaimed Comedy Central series Key & Peele, which aired from 2012 to 2015. The show garnered two Primetime Emmy Awards and a Peabody Award, solidifying Peele's reputation in the comedy landscape. The duo also co-wrote and starred in the comedy film Keanu in 2016, further expanding their creative partnership.

Peele made a remarkable transition from comedy to horror with his directorial debut, Get Out, in 2017. The film was both a critical and commercial triumph, earning him an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and nominations for Best Picture and Best Director. He continued to receive accolades for his work, including another Academy Award nomination for producing Spike Lee's BlacKkKlansman in 2018. In addition to his film work, Peele founded Monkeypaw Productions in 2012, which has produced notable projects such as Candyman (2021) and Wendell and Wild (2022). He has lent his voice to animated films like Storks, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, and Toy Story 4, as well as the adult animated sitcom Big Mouth.
