Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Jorge Lorenzo

Jorge Lorenzo, born on May fourth, nineteen eighty-seven, is a distinguished Spanish former Grand Prix motorcycle racer and a five-time World Champion. His remarkable career includes three titles in the MotoGP class, clinched in two thousand ten, two thousand twelve, and two thousand fifteen, alongside two titles in the 250cc category in two thousand six and two thousand seven.

Transitioning to MotoGP in two thousand eight, Lorenzo joined the factory Yamaha team, where he quickly made a name for himself. His debut season was nothing short of impressive, earning him the Rookie of the Year title after securing a race win in Portugal and finishing fourth in the championship standings. Over nine successful seasons with Yamaha, he not only won the championship three times but also finished as runner-up in three additional seasons.

In two thousand seventeen, Lorenzo took on a new challenge with the Ducati factory team. His initial year was challenging, with only three podium finishes and a seventh-place championship finish. However, he rebounded in two thousand eighteen, achieving victories in Mugello, Catalunya, and Austria, along with a second-place finish in Brno. His subsequent move to Repsol Honda in two thousand nineteen proved to be less successful, leading to his retirement at the end of a difficult season.

With forty-seven victories from two hundred three starts, Lorenzo ranks fifth among all-time premier class race winners and third for podium finishes, totaling one hundred fourteen. In two thousand twenty-two, he was honored with induction into the MotoGP Hall of Fame as an official Legend by the FIM. Even after retirement, Lorenzo remains active in motorsports, competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia in two thousand twenty-two and twenty-three, as well as participating in the Porsche Supercup and the Italian GT Championship. He also contributes as a color commentator at select MotoGP races.
