Personal Facts, Age, Height and Biography of Jos LeDuc

Jos LeDuc, born on August 31, 1944, was a prominent Canadian professional wrestler known for his distinctive lumberjack gimmick. He made his debut in Stampede Wrestling alongside his kayfabe brother, Paul LeDuc. The duo quickly gained recognition, capturing several titles in Montreal and engaging in fierce rivalries, particularly with the renowned Rougeau wrestling family. Their success extended to Florida, where they held the NWA Florida Tag Team Championship.

After an injury curtailed Paul's wrestling career, Jos transitioned to singles competition, where he became embroiled in a notable feud with the legendary Dusty Rhodes. His journey then took him to Tennessee, where he faced off against Jerry Lawler in a heated rivalry for the NWA Mid-America Southern Tag Team Championship. This rivalry reached a dramatic peak when LeDuc legitimately broke Lawler's leg by throwing him over the top rope onto the announcer's desk.

Throughout his career, LeDuc traveled extensively between Florida and Tennessee, amassing a total of thirty-two championships, including fifteen singles titles and seventeen tag team titles. His wrestling prowess also took him on tours of Japan and New Zealand, further solidifying his reputation in the wrestling world. One of his most significant feuds was with manager Oliver Humperdink, whom he accused of misappropriating his earnings, leading to LeDuc winning the NWA Television Championship from one of Humperdink's wrestlers.

In the latter part of his career, LeDuc continued to split his time between singles and tag team wrestling, reigniting his rivalry with Lawler in Tennessee. He also ventured into Puerto Rico and had a brief stint in the World Wrestling Federation. Tragically, Jos LeDuc passed away at the age of fifty-four due to a lung infection, leaving behind a legacy of resilience and achievement in the world of professional wrestling.
